Exorcist seeks to rid Amy Winehouse of the devil

Troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse could get rid of the devil and be saved from self-destruction by the worlds foremost exorcist, Rev Bob Larson.

London, Mar 9 : Troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse could get rid of the devil and be saved from self-destruction by the world's foremost exorcist, Rev Bob Larson.

Larson, who has conducted more than 10,000 exorcisms over 30 years, will seek the 24-year-old star out during a forthcoming visit to Britain and is looking forward to help Winehouse from being destroyed.

"Amy Winehouse is in my opinion possessed," The Daily Star quoted Larson, as saying.

"She is obviously suffering from drug addictions and other problems but the likelihood is that is not all.

"People are more susceptible to being possessed when they have bruised souls and I think Amy is a classic example," he added.

Larson, whose Spiritual Freedom Church is based in Denver, will appear later this month on Virgin 1's shocking new series 'The Real Exorcist,' which follows the demon slayer around as he carries out dangerous exorcisms on camera.

According to Larson, he could be the best person to help self-harming Winehouse.

"People in show- business are extravagant - we know that," he said.

"But when they become completely self-destructive it is contradictory to what they should be doing with their talent. When this happens you have to ask whether it is the devil's work. After all, that is what the devil sets out to do - destroy.

"This is obviously just a long-distance diagnosis and I'm not passing judgment. But in her case there are a lot of similarities to possessed people. I would love 15 minutes with her to see whether I could help her.

"A lot of the time people appear utterly ordinary to the outside world but inside they are in living hell," he added.
