Race, a fast-paced thriller to hit screens soon

Race- the latest thriller from Bollywood, packs in suspense and mystery with some hair raising stunts to set the pulse racing for its audience.

Mumbai, Mar 7 : 'Race'- the latest thriller from Bollywood, packs in suspense and mystery with some hair raising stunts to set the pulse racing for its audience.

A story of murder, deceit, adultery and stealing set against the backdrop of horse racing, provides an ideal plot for the latest racy thriller from the Bollywood dream factory.

'Race' is the story of competition between two half brothers caught in a web of lies and intrigue, where love also comes laced with a motive.

Directed by Abbas-Mustan, considered as pioneers in thrillers and murder mysteries, 'Race' combines drama and suspense with some adrenaline pumping action, in what is being touted as their most stylized and pricey flick.

Shot in exotic locales in Dubai and Durban, the film boasts of some of the best talent from the film industry, featuring actors like, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Anil Kapoor.

Saif and Akshaye play brothers Ranvir and Rajiv Singh who are involved in horse racing.

Surrounded by dangerous people in the business, both of them are equally dangerous individuals who will go to any extent to fulfill their desires.

Saif's ladylove falls for his brother and marries him, but still harbors feelings for him even after marriage. The plot heats up when Saif's brother starts getting some crazy ideas about making money and what follows next is a trail of lies, betrayal, murder and deceit.

"It's a commercial film. Full of twists and turns, the plot is the hero of it. Where nothing is what it seems. It keeps you guessing and its fun," said Saif.

Packed in with some racy stunts, 'Race' is a visual treat for the action loving individuals. A lot of care and planning has gone in behind each of the action sequence.

For Saif, who does most of the jumping around in the film, making a match between his onscreen character and his real self was a tricky part, as the, actor cannot stand heights and abhors doing stunts involving heights.

"This film is a little more action oriented wherein you had to be brave in different ways. To dive off a 30th floor, to me, is a big thing. But, we did it three-four times and afterwards it was fun. I enjoyed the cable work. There is a lot of falling off buildings, jumping off buildings, diving off. I think my character seems to love jumping off heights," said Saif.

Meanwhile, as a part of promotional activity, the makers of the film have come out with a stylish book that gives the reader an insight into the film, besides offering some captivating snap shots from the film.

The film, which is slated to hit the screens on March 21, is also being dubbed in regional Tamil and Telugu languages, which will release simultaneously across the country along with the Hindi version of the film.
