New York, Mar 6 : Demi Moore opens up about her life, her hubby, her kids and ex Bruce Willis in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar.
The actress is married to Ashton Kutcher and in the interview to the mag, she talks about him and how it was bringing her young husband into her family's life, aging, Kabbalah, and her model extended family with her ex Bruce Willis.
The 'Ghost' star said that bringing Ashton into her daughters' lives had put a lot of responsibility on him.
"I didn't bring somebody into their lives lightly. I looked at Ashton and thought, he's 25 [he's now 30]; it's a lot to ask. Being with me isn't about just being in a relationship with me; it's about someone stepping into a situation where there is already a huge level of responsibility," The New York Post quoted her, as telling the mag.
"People made such a fuss about it (the age gap), you would have thought the world had never seen it before. Age wasn't what I was thinking about, but to the rest of the world it was a very big deal," she added.
When asked about how she manages to maintain a friendship with her ex-husband Bruce Willis, she said: "Look, I'm the product of divorced parents, and my brother and I were the pawns in my parents' game. I never wanted that for my kids. At that time, I could not have seen what a gift that situation was, but without that experience, I would not have known there was a different choice to make in my own divorce."
After seeing a lot in her life, Demi seems to have a great outlook for life, of which she said: "Look, I would be lying if I said I don't have moments of panic when I look in the mirror and see things creeping in that weren't there before."
"But now I stop, and instead of focusing on my flaws, I think about all that I have in my life. I have a wonderful marriage, I have three wonderful daughters, I have an incredible extended family and I have loving, wonderful friends. Then when I look back in the mirror, the reflection I see isn't so bad, because I'm seeing the beauty of my whole being and my whole life."
