Lindsay Lohan wants to emulate Kylie Minogues chart success

American actress Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she wants to be like Kylie Minogue on the music front.

Melbourne, Mar 30 : American actress Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she wants to be like Kylie Minogue on the music front.

The actress/singer admitted that she desperately wants to emulate the Aussie pop star's chart success.

The troubled starlet has tried her luck in the music world with the release of two albums, which failed miserably.

The albums were able to generate financially, but they did nothing to help Lohan gain a foothold in the industry, leaving her looking for inspiration from some of the best in the industry, for her third album.

"I want it to be dance,'' the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

"I want it to be kind of Kylie Minogue meets Rihanna. I hope to tour with it and I hope to really promote it,'' she added.

Lohan has had a very public breakdown over the past year, including a number of stints in rehab, but the 22-year-old is finally getting her life back on track, even signing on to star in the new movie, 'Ye Olde Times'.

Asked if any of her new songs will reflect the past year's troubles, she replied that she would not like to remember them.

"I'm not sure yet,'' she said.

"I don't know if I really want to (reflect on them).

"I think the past is the past and it should be kept there. It's a new slate for me and I want to show that in my new record,'' she added.
