Lindsay Lohans dad Michael Lohan is not too happy about the fact that his daughter will be playing a devotee of Charles Manson on the big screen.

Washington, Mar 29 : Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael Lohan is not too happy about the fact that his daughter will be playing a devotee of Charles Manson on the big screen.

Michael said that he wants the 'Mean Girls' star to do the kind of films that cater to the mainstream audience.

"I really hope that Lindsay gets back to the kinds of films that led to her success. I'd like to see her do more mainstream films," Usmagazine.com quoted him, as saying.

Earlier Lohan starred in movies like 'I Know Who Killed Me' and 'Bobby', which did not fare well at the box office. And her latest flick, 'Chapter 27' is centred on the assassination of John Lennon.

According to Michael, those films "were geared to a specific audience. When you're the kind of star Lindsay is, you have to appeal to a general audience, not just a specific audience."

He also said that he was relieved that the much-publicised Callum Best sex tape rumours were put to rest.

"You don't know what people put out there anymore! So many people have hidden cameras. Our private lives are our private lives - people don't respect that," he said.
