Flemings letters to his real-life Miss Moneypenny up for sale

Letters between James Bond creator Ian Fleming and his real-life Miss Moneypenny are going up for grabs at an auction.

London, Mar 26 : Letters between James Bond creator Ian Fleming and his real-life 'Miss Moneypenny' are going up for grabs at an auction.

And, a look at them shows that the famous author relied on his typist a whole lot.

According to one 1960 note to typist Jean Frampton, Fleming sought help in writing one of the Bond books.

"I have written a James Bond story, provisionally called Thunderball. I would be deeply obliged if you would apply your usual keen mind to help the book get into shape," The Sun quoted Fleming, as stating in the note.

In reply to this she asked him to explain if villain Blofeld "lives to fight another day" and even sent a typing bill for 8pounds 12shellings and 6pences.

The letters will be auctioned on April 10 by Duke's of Dorchester.

Said the auction house's Amy Brenan: "He really does seem to rely on her."
