Britney ordered to pay K-Feds $375,000 legal bills

Troubled pop princess Britney Spears has been ordered by the court to pay Kevin Federlines 375,000 dollars legal bills.

Washington, Mar 18 : Troubled pop princess Britney Spears has been ordered by the court to pay Kevin Federline's 375,000 dollars legal bills.

Britney's lawyer, Stacy Phillips, had last week complained against Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, for over-charging Spears by raising his hourly fee, People mag reported.

Stacy also asked that Federline be ordered to contribute to his own legal bills in the former couple's ongoing custody case, bringing up Federline's recent dining extravagance, where he had left a tip of 2,000 dollars for a 365 dollars dining tab.

Phillips pointed out that Kevin could afford to help pay "for the diligent work being done on his behalf."

However, Los Angeles Court Commissioner Scott Gordon has called the legal billing "reasonable," in large part because "the actions of [Spears] caused the great majority of litigation."

Federline had previously declared in court papers made public last year that he had no steady income, while Spears takes in more than 700,000 dollars a month.

According to the income and needs, the family courts have the power to order one party to pay for the other's fees.
