Natasha Bedingfield attacks her pop rivals

English pop singer songwriter Natasha Bedingfield has slammed her pop rivals, insisting that they take drugs and drink in excess because they are desperate for attention.

Washington, Mar 16 : English pop singer songwriter Natasha Bedingfield has slammed her pop rivals, insisting that they take drugs and drink in excess because they are desperate for attention.

The singer launched the scathing attack in a message to fans on her MySpace page, where she blamed her rivals' turbulent lifestyles on their desire to be praised for doing "stupid things".

"Unlike some artists around I like to have fun just for the sake of it, not just to attract attention," Contactmusic quoted her, as writing on her MySpace page.

"This industry is so obsessed with image and what everyone thinks of you and I've found that you have to fight hard within yourself not to let it affect you.

"I'm aware that I've been labeled a good girl by some because I'm different to some of the other female artists - the main difference being I don't do drugs and I'm doing my best not to be messed up," she added.
