Medics cleared of wrongdoing in Heath Ledgers death

Two doctors who were being investigated over the prescriptions that late Heath Ledger was taking when he died in January this year, have been cleared from any wrong doing.

Washington, Mar 1 : Two doctors who were being investigated over the prescriptions that late Heath Ledger was taking when he died in January this year, have been cleared from any wrong doing.

The federal Drug Enforcement Agency authorities were interviewing the two doctors from California and Texas after their names were found on various prescription bottles in the actor's New York apartment.

The 28-year-old was found dead in his SoHo apartment on Jan 22 following the lethal combination of six potent prescription medications including painkillers Oxycontin and Vicodin, reports E! Online.

The medics were believed to have supplied the actor with these two painkillers that proved to be fatal.

Meanwhile, DEA is still investigating whether there were valid medical conditions attached to each of the prescriptions found in the actor's apartment.
