London, June 8 : Keira Knightley has signed on to reprise Audrey Hepburn's iconic role in 'My Fair Lady'.

The 23-year-old will star as Eliza Doolittle, the humble cockney flower girl who makes good in Edwardian high society.

Meanwhile, Daniel Day-Lewis is being considered for the role of Henry Higgins, which was given notable treatment by Rex Harrison.

"Keira is already onboard and everyone is convinced that Day-Lewis would be perfect as Higgins," the Telegraph quoted a source, as saying.

The remake of the 1964 Oscar-winning classic is being produced by Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Duncan Kenworthy.

Sources close to the project said that Kenworthy is keen to get Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese or Roger Michell to direct the film.
