Washington, Jun 8 : A bunch of British stars, including Elizabeth Hurley, Trudie Styler and Bob Geldof, helped raise 50 million dollars for a children's charity at a lavish dinner in London on June 6.

Uma Thurman's businessman partner Arpad Busson had organised the annual Absolute Return for Kids (ARK) dinner at the Royal Navel College in London, in a bid to raise funds for the charity.

The event is said to have attracted a host of well-known celebrities, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie, who were serenaded by legendary singer Stevie Wonder.

Seats for the charity dinner were in the price range of 2,000 dollars and 20,000 dollars per head, reports Contactmusic.

At the event British artist Damien Hirst auctioned off a painting, which was sold for 18,000 dollars.

A speaking role in Thurman's upcoming movie Eloise also went under the hammer for 960,000 dollar, according to Britain's the Daily Express.
