English actress Sienna Miller has dumped her Welsh actor boyfriend Rhys Ifans after he became too jealous of her seeing ex-love Matthew Rhys.
London, Jun 4 : English actress Sienna Miller has dumped her Welsh actor boyfriend Rhys Ifans after he became too jealous of her seeing ex-love Matthew Rhys.
Miller broke the news to Ifans in a tearful phone call last weekend, and she is said to have blamed their long-distance relationship as the cause of their break up, as Ifans became suspicious that during his absence she had rekindled her romance with Matthew.
But the 26-year-old actress says that she and Rhys are just good friends, even though she has been seeing a lot more of him during her regular trips to LA in recent months.
Ifans received the bad news while on the set of his new film 'The Boat That Rocked'.
"Sienna broke the news at the weekend in a call from Prague," the Sun quoted a source as saying.
"Things have been awkward for a while after she caught Rhys going through her text messages.
"She went bananas and Rhys said he was looking for what he called 'incriminating evidence'. He has been giving her a hard time lately, questioning her commitment to him and the time she puts into the relationship," the source said.
"She compared him to a spotlight shining in her face all the time. He is heartbroken they have split. Sienna feels really sorry for him because he had slotted into her family perfectly, but she couldn't cope with his suspicious and jealous behaviour.
"When they are together they get on so well. But she can't cope with his jealousy," the source added.
Miller had been dating 33-year-old Rhys who she later ditched to start dating 39-year-old Ifans.
Recently she and Rhys have been meeting regularly to prepare for a promotional campaign for their film 'The Edge Of Love'.
"I must have a thing for Welshmen," Miller is said to have admitted in a recent interview.
