Oprah Winfrey completes her 21-day cleanse

Oprah Winfrey has completed the 21-day cleanse that she embarked upon recently.

Washington, June 25 : Oprah Winfrey has completed the 21-day cleanse that she embarked upon recently.

The talk-show queen undertook the 21-day cleanse three weeks ago after interviewing author Kathy Freston about her book, Quantum Wellness, which prohibits caffeine, sugar, alcohol, gluten or animal products.

Winfrey kept a blog about her experience on the cleanse and admitted to nearly giving in at one point, writing: "I want some wine. Bordeaux 82. Just one glass at sunset, almost broke down and had a glass. I didn't."

On the cleanse's final day, she ate a large baked potato and fresh green salad, reports People.

"All ingredients except the olive oil came from my garden," she wrote.

"I got a real kick out of that. I was raised by a grandmother who grew and harvested everything," she added.

In the end, the TV titan said she accomplished what she set out to do.

"This has been exactly what we intended: enlightening. I will forever be a more cautious and conscious eater. That's my commitment for now. To stay awakened," she wrote.
