50 Cent restrained from contacting ex-lover; files $20mln suit

A Long Island judge has slapped rapper 50 Cent with a restraining order requiring him to avoid any contact with his former paramour Shaniqua Tompkins.

Washington, June 21 : A Long Island judge has slapped rapper 50 Cent with a restraining order requiring him to avoid any contact with his former paramour Shaniqua Tompkins.

The order also requires the singer to forfeit any firearms he owns.

Tompkins alleged that the rapper was behind a fire that forced her our of the home she once shared with him, a charge 50 Cent vehemently disputes.

"I will not let this man break me-I won't," E!online quoted 32-year-old Tompkins as saying in court.

The rapper's attorney Brett Kimmel said that the order was "a retaliatory and vindictive move".

He even filed a contempt petition alleging that Tompkins was not living up to the terms of the custody agreement regarding her and 50 Cent's 11-year-old son Marquise.

"Ms. Tompkins is refusing to permit my client to have any contact with his son at all, even to the extent of not revealing his location to him. So we've asked the judge to order that access be given," Kimmel said.

The attorney claimed that Tompkins had "made it practically impossible" for the rapper to see his son.

The court papers suggest that after the fire destroyed Marquise's cell phone, 50 Cent sent a replacement, but Tompkins refused to give it to the youngster.

Kimmel also even served Tompkins with the defamation suit outside of court, and said that the rapper opted to take the action because he could no longer stand her accusations that he was behind the suspicious fire that gutted her Long Island home on May 30.

Tompkins and Marquise were forced to flee through a second-floor window as the fire spread, and were treated for minor injuries along with four other people.

Shortly afterwards, she told the media that 50 Cent had threatened her in the week prior to the blaze.
