Broderick junior is curious about smoking

American actor Matthew Broderick has predicted that he and his wife Sarah Jessica Parkers smoking will rub off on their 5-year-old son, James Wilkie.

New York, Jun 21 : American actor Matthew Broderick has predicted that he and his wife Sarah Jessica Parker's smoking will rub off on their 5-year-old son, James Wilkie.

The reason that made Broderick say that his son will turn out to be a smoker, is because of the way the tot studies his parents when they are smoking.

"He's already curious," the New York Daily News quoted Broderick, as telling New York magazine.

"I can just see the little budding gene of a smoker in there.

"He'll see a cigarette butt and say, 'What is that? Why do people smoke?'," he added.

He expanded his story on his habit of smoking and how he is not able to let go of it.

"I used to smoke cigarettes, and I still do, lately. I gave that up a long time ago, but every now and then I will fall off for a week," he said.

But he says that worse than him is Parker, who apparently has not learned anything from the several seasons of "Sex and the City" in which Carrie Bradshaw was desperately trying to quit.
