Actress Katie Holmes is all set to make her Broadway debut on Oct 16.

New York, June 18 : Actress Katie Holmes is all set to make her Broadway debut on Oct 16.

In the Arthur Miller drama, the 29-year-old actress stars with John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.

The Broadway revival of "All My Sons," will open on Oct. 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, reports the New York Daily News.

The 1947 play is based on true events, it's about businessman Joe Keller (Lithgow) who knowingly sold the government defective airplane parts during World War II. The faulty machinery led to the deaths of nearly two dozen pilots.

Holmes plays the daughter of Keller's former business partner, who took the rap and went to jail. It's a meaty role played on Broadway by Jayne Atkinson and regionally by Frances McDormand.

The rehearsals of the play directed by British director Simon McBurney will begin in August.
