Washington, July 6 : American singer songwriter Sheryl Crow boosted U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama's spirits, when she offered to perform for the Senator on the campaign trail.

Crow has joined the throng of celebrities supporting Obama's run for the White House against Republican leader John McCain.

The singer, who blends rock, country, pop, folk and blues into one mainstream sound, revealed that she is trying to fit campaign dates into her touring schedule.

"I know my manager's been talking to them. We're just putting schedules together and figuring out where we can be useful and what they need us for," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"I think his message is strong and clear. It's a message we need to start to believe in, and we need to stop with the cynicism and really manifest ourselves as being a part of what's happening in this country," she added.
