London, July 31 : Hollywood couple Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas have kept their kids away from the limelight so much that the youngsters believe their daddy makes pancakes for a living. In an exclusive interview, the Welsh actress has revealed that she and her husband have tried to make life as normal as possible for Dylan, seven and Cerys, five.
"Michael makes excellent pancakes. He's pretty good at waffles, too," the Sun quoted her, as saying.
"Dylan was doing occupations at school recently and the teacher said, 'You have to go home and ask Mummy and Daddy what they do.'
"So we were trying to explain to Dylan that we make movies and he went to Michael, 'Hang on. Mama makes movies, you make pancakes!' So my two-time Oscar-winning husband with a career of 40 years looks at me and says, 'Oh, it's come to that,' " she added.
The 38-year-old actress tries to keep things 'normal' for her children by bringing them up in the family's Bermuda hideaway rather than the madness of Tinseltown.
And she does other housewifely chores such as the school run.
"There's a real sense of privacy in Bermuda and it's been great bringing up my children there - taking them to school without hassle. For me, it was the ideal choice, with it also being easy to go to New York," she said.
