Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have hit out at rumours that their wedding is about to collapse, with a romantic dinner date together in New York.

London, July 3 : Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have hit out at rumours that their wedding is about to collapse, with a romantic dinner date together in New York.

The couple enjoyed a romantic meal at an Italian restaurant, just hours after Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg issued a statement denying the pair are set to divorce.

Madonna and Ritchie were snapped heading into an exclusive restaurant hand in hand on Tuesday evening.

"(They looked) like a normal couple that just wanted to have a nice dinner out," The Sun quoted an onlooker, as telling People.

"They looked very unassuming, not like they were looking for attention."

The singer also finally hit out at rumours that she's called in the divorce attorneys and that she's having an affair with a married baseball star.

Rumours of a break-up were fuelled after both Madge and her British director were seen without their wedding rings.

The 49-year-old singer put out a strongly-worded statement through her spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg insisting she has "no plans" to divorce her husband.

The rep also insisted that Ritchie's arrival in New York was simply a family get-together, and not a final attempt to save the couple's marriage.
