In what may be called as a musical-labour, actor Matthew McConaughey was spinning tracks in the labour room while girlfriend Alves was giving birth to their son.

London, July 24 : In what may be called as a 'musical-labour', actor Matthew McConaughey was spinning tracks in the labour room while girlfriend Alves was giving birth to their son.

In the 14 hours sweaty session, the actor made sure that he played tunes from Alves's homeland, Brazil, while the model battled with the agony of contractions.

"Contractions started kicking in, and we found a great rhythm. We had a 14-hour session, her and I did. I sat there with her, right between her legs," The Sun quoted the actor, as saying..

He added: "We got tribal on it We danced to it. I was DJing this native Brazilian music

"We'd been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, 'Let's handle this... let's stay in the rhythm. Don't let the contraction be more than you'."
