Kim Cattrall opens Harrods summer sale

Anglo-Canadian actress Kim Cattrall recently visited the departmental store Harrods in London to launch its summer sale.

London, July 1 : Anglo-Canadian actress Kim Cattrall recently visited the departmental store Harrods in London to launch its summer sale.

The 'Sex and the City' star arrived in a horse-drawn carriage, accompanied by Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed and a procession of bagpipe players.

The 51-year-old actress even managed to ignore anti-fur campaigners who had set-up early to protest against the sale of fur in the store.

She was taken on an exclusive shopping trip around Harrods, where she tried on designer jewellery and watches and even cuddled two miniature Dachshunds who had each been sold for 1,700 pounds.

She later posed with a trademark giant Harrods teddy bear, before being escorted by Al Fayed on a tour of all the best bargains.

Cattrall even greeted her fans who had been queuing outside the shop since the morning.

"As a Brit I understand what this sale means, it's very near and dear to my heart," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

She added: "The first time I came to Harrods was the time I decided to get a credit card because I couldn't carry enough cash with me! And as I always say, all's fair in shopping and love."
