Renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg will have wait till next year to be honoured at the Golden Globe Awards following the cancellation of this years ceremony.
Washington, Jan 9 : Renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg will have wait till next year to be honoured at the Golden Globe Awards following the cancellation of this year's ceremony.
The Oscar-winning director was due to receive the Cecil B. DeMille honour at this years' Golden Globe Awards scheduled for Jan. 13, reports People.
According to Variety, since the ceremony got scrapped, the award function was reduced to just an hour-long press conference, produced by NBC News.
But the Hollywood Foreign Press decided to defer the Spielberg segment until the 2009 ceremony.
The 61-year-old filmmaker already has 11 Golden Globe nominations and two awards for directing 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Schindler's List.'
