London, Jan 9 : It seems that Paris Hilton needs to brush up her films' knowledge, for the socialite failed to differentiate between 'Goodfellas' and 'The Godfather'.
Hilton recently approached 'Goodfellas' star Joe Pesci while he dined at a restaurant with his girlfriend and friends and said: "I loved you in The Godfather."
The actor politely thanked her, but suggested that she might be confusing the gangster classic with Goodfellas.
After learning her mistake, she tried to defend herself by saying that he was to blame for her mix-up by letting his star status slip.
A source revealed that the 64-year-old 'Home Alone' actor was embarrassed at the comment.
"Joe Pesci is one of the greatest actors of our time. And he was literally speechless when Paris advised him to do another mainstream movie," the Daily Snack quoted the source, as saying.
"The first two Home Alones came out when she was a little girl, so she was a big fan.
"But Paris clearly didn't have a clue about his legendary silverscreen status. The room gnawed their fists in a collective cringe," the source added.
