The Oceans 11 star had spoken to Kidman just a few hours after she confirmed her pregnancy.
"I'm thrilled for her. She'll be great. She'll be a tall mother," Contactmusic quoted Clooney, as saying.
Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman was spotted celebrating her pregnancy by having lunch with husband Keith Urban in Sydney.
Nicole said: "It's very exciting."
