Washington, Jan 9 : English actress Helena Bonham Carter may e romantically involved with director Tim Burton but that oesn't mean she is automatically considered for the roles in his ovies.
In fact, she still has to audition for a part in one of his ilms.
The 41-year-old star has been going around with Burton for six ears and the couple has two children together.
However the actress insists that just because she is his irlfriend, it does not necessarily mean that she would be handed role in any of Burton's movies without trying for it, and that he has to work just as hard to get the role.
Carter had recently landed the coveted role of Nellie Lovett pposite Johnny Depp in 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet treet' and she is convinced she won the job fairly.
"I did sleep with him (Burton) obviously. It wasn't gaining me ny favours," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"It looked like giving me the role was the easy choice. It was ctually really hard and probably risky too because, for one, I efinitely had to audition. I'd never want to be cast just ecause I was his girlfriend," she said.
"I also didn't want to have the pressure of being cast and not eing qualified to do it - that would've been a disaster for the ovie and for him," she added.
