Washington, Jan 9 : Burlesque queen Dita Von Teese admits that she loves spending time in the UK because the Brits are 'quite kinky'.
The glamour model insists that the stereotype of the sexually repressed Brit is pretty inaccurate.
"The British really are quite kinky. I love being in London because it has a heritage of burlesque," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
And, she gives evidence of this fact by giving the example of a group called Lydia Thompson And Her British Blondes.
"One of the great pioneers at the turn of the last century was a group called Lydia Thompson And Her British Blondes. They were the first girls to wear fishnets tights and lift their skirts, and, by all accounts, they were very sexy in their G-strings," she said.
Von Teese officially became part of the singles' scene after her divorce from rocker Marilyn Manson was finalised on Dec 27.
Von Teese filed divorce papers nearly a year ago, citing irreconcilable differences for the split.
