According to sources, before the arrival of police, the 'Toxic' singer called up Jamie Lynn, who has been at the centre of a media storm since announcing her teen pregnancy.
Insiders say that Britney was jealous of her sister's new-found publicity, and thus decided to make the shocking call, predicting that she on the verge of attracting media worldwide.
"Jamie's new-found publicity enraged jealous Britney," News of the World quoted a source, as saying.
"And after calling Kevin that night she rang Jamie and told her, 'You're not going to be the only f***ing Spears on the front cover of a magazine next week!' and then hung up," the source added.
Following the singer's hysterical antics, a Los Angeles judge has awarded the "sole legal custody and sole physical custody" of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to Federline, until another hearing on January 14.
