Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean didnt realise what he was doing when he jokingly invited everyone to his Saddle River, NJ, home for a New Years bash.
New York, Jan 5 : Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean didn't realise what he was doing when he 'jokingly' invited "everyone" to his Saddle River, NJ, home for a New Year's bash.
Hundreds of fans gatecrashed at the former Fugees star's pad on December 31.
The singer had apparently sent out the invitation during an interview with MTV but didn't expect it to be taken quite so seriously.
When Jean arrived home around 1 a.m. on New Year's Eve, he found that more than 500 people were partying at his mansion.
"There were hundreds and hundreds of cars parked all over," the New York Post quoted a source, as saying.
"They had tents set up outside, but people were wandering around in his house, in the movie theatre, in the kitchen," the source added.
The source revealed that Police fianlly arrived at 3am, just as Jean had begun serving Haitian food on a poker table.
"The cops came around 3 a.m. to break it up, it got so crazy," the source said.
