Diane Keaton was always afraid of men

Diane Keaton has revealed that she is perfectly fine with being a spinster - because she has always been afraid of men.

New York, Jan 5 : Diane Keaton has revealed that she is perfectly fine with being a spinster - because she has always been "afraid of men."

The Oscar-winning actress, who has romanced Woody Allen and Warren Beatty in the past, admitted that she was never fit for the dating scene.

The 62-year-old also said that her indecisiveness and uncertainty prevented her from ever settling down.

"I was always a little bit afraid of men. I was inclined to be somebody who would go along. Not a good thing. They're not getting the real you, and you don't know how to be the real you," the New York Post quoted her, as telling Ladies' Home Journal.

"I'd get lost in that, and when the real me came out, it was less than flattering. I wanted to be in a good relationship.

"Those good relationships that are strong and substantive never happened for me, and that prolonged my indecisiveness," she added.

The Annie Hall star is now a single mother to her two adopted kids, Dexter, 12, and Duke, seven.
