Music icon Madonna topped Forbes magazines first-ever list for the Cash Queens of Music.

Washington, Jan 30 : Music icon Madonna topped Forbes magazine's first-ever list for the 'Cash Queens of Music'.

Madge's earnings of 72 million dollars were 12million USD more than that of second place star Barbara Streisand, with an earning of 60million dollars.

Third place on the list went to Celine Dion with 45 million dollars in the bank, reports People magazine.

The top five was rounded of by Colombian superstar Shakira and the 'Bootylicious' Beyonce who came in fourth and fifth place with an earning of 38 million dollars and 27 million dollars respectively.

The list for the top 20 'Cash Queens of Music' as per Forbes is:

1. Madonna 72 million dollars

2. Barbra Streisand 60 million dollars

3. Celine Dion 45 million dollars

4. Shakira 38 million dollars

5. Beyonce 27 million dollars

6. Gwen Stefani 26 million dollars
