Washington, Jan 3 : Angelina Jolie has buried the hatchet with her estranged father Jon Voight, calling him on Christmas Eve.
The two had not spoken since June 2002, after Voight told a U.S. television show that he hoped Jolie would seek help for her "serious emotional problems".
And now, the 69-year-old, who had tried to patch things up with his daughter since last month (Dec07), has nothing but praises for her.
"I'm very impressed with Angelina's work, with some of the humanitarian things, and she's a great actress," Contactmusic quoted Voight, as saying.
"I am always thinking of Brad and the kids. I'm sending my love that way," he added.
A source tells the National Enquirer that Jolie called her father while spending Christmas in New Orleans with partner Brad Pitt and their four children.
"It was a short call, but it meant the world to both of them. It was something for them to build on, and Jon couldn't say enough good things about the way his daughter is conducting her life," the friend said.
