Britney Spears legal eagles not abandoning her

Britney Spears will still be represented by her old legal team, headed by Sorrell Trope, in her ongoing custody battle with ex-huby Kevin Federline.

Washington, Jan 24 : Britney Spears will still be represented by her old legal team, headed by Sorrell Trope, in her ongoing custody battle with ex-huby Kevin Federline.

The law firm of Trope and Trope had filed a request to be excused from the case on Jan. 2.

When asked if they were really staying on, one of her attorneys, Anne Kiley, replied, "Yes, we are," but divulged no details, reports People.

"There has been a breakdown in communications between [Spears] and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible," stated the firm in a previous request. A hearing on the matter was set for Feb. 4.

However Meredith Pierce, a court spokeswoman, confirmed that the firm's request had been withdrawn.

In the earlier events of the day, the firm demanded visitation rights for the 26-year-old singer, but to no avail.

Britney arrived at the courthouse for the morning hearing, but left shortly thereafter without entering the courtroom.

Last week, Spears lost visitation of sons Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, indefinitely following her meltdown after a quarrel at her Beverly Hills mansion.
