Britney Spears finally showed up for a court-ordered deposition in her dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline over the custody of their two boys.

Washington, Jan 22 : Britney Spears finally showed up for a court-ordered deposition in her dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline over the custody of their two boys.

The singer along with her manager Sam Lufti arrived at Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan's Los Angeles office on Jan 21, and was seen leaving the place more than two hours later.

"Britney left the office with a blank expression on her face," E! Online quoted one witmess, as saying.

Spears was deposed to answer questions about parenting and her ability to provide adequate care to her two young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.

According to sources, Spears is expected to attend at least one more session at Kaplan's office this week. eanwhile, Spears friend and Danish businessman Claus Hjelmbak credited Lutfi as a calming influence during the popstar's testimony.

"Britney professionally and bravely attended her deposition with dignity and class. I'm absolutely thrilled to see how the world is now opening its eyes and seeing the caring, wonderful person that she is and as someone who takes her responsibilities seriously," Hjelmbak said.

"Fittingly, Sam Lutfi was by her side, and he is very much a key in her rise back to the top of her game," Hjelmbak added.

Kaplan's office did not immediately comment on the summit.
