Borat celebrating after etiquette teacher lawsuit win

Sacha Baron Cohen is rejoicing after winning a lawsuit filed against him by a woman who unintentionally appeared in his hit movie Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan.

London, Jan 20 : Sacha Baron Cohen is rejoicing after winning a lawsuit filed against him by a woman who unintentionally appeared in his hit movie 'Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan.'

Alabama Supreme Court has ruled against etiquette teacher Kathie Martin, who unwittingly appeared in the 2006 movie giving Borat tips on how to behave - before he attended a polite dinner party.

The resulting film footage features Borat proudly showing Martin a Polaroid of his son in the nude, then heading to a well-heeled dinner party where he defacates into a plastic bag and politely asks another guest whether he is a "retard".

But while the scene proved the best part of the movie, it infuriated Martin, who claimed she had been "tricked into being part of a childish prank," reports the Telegraph.

Martin sued Cohen and various companies involved in the production and distribution of the film, claiming she was embarrassed and humiliated by her encounter.

But judges have ruled that Martin had to sue in New York, not in her native state, because she had signed an agreement specifying that as the location for any dispute.

Others who have sued over the movie include South Carolina fraternity members, a Maryland driving instructor, Romanian villagers and a businessman who was shown fleeing from a hug in New York.
