Sir Anthony Hopkins has admitted that despite presenting a front of warmth, he has always felt empty from inside.

London, Jan 2 : Sir Anthony Hopkins has admitted that despite presenting a front of warmth, he has always felt empty from inside.

The 69-year-old said that he has never been a family man and always kept moving in life.

"I have never let anyone in close, just kept dodging and weaving. I've presented a front of warmth and friendliness but inside I have always felt empty; no compassion, just carelessness all my life," the Daily Express quoted him, as saying.

"What I have done all my life is keep moving, keep ahead of the game.

"I've never been a family man. Being a single child in Wales and sent away to school, I've never been close to my family or understood loyalty to family," he added.

The 'Beowulf' star is currently, based in Malibu with his third wife Stella Arroyave, a South American antique dealer 19 years his junior.
