Julie Christie dreads being nominated for Oscars again

Veteran actress Julie Christie dreads being nominated for the Oscars again.

London, Jan 2 : Veteran actress Julie Christie dreads being nominated for the Oscars again.

Unlike other actresses, who would love to hear their names mentioned in the Oscars shortlist, the 66-year-old wants to be disregarded by the judges.

Christie is already being tipped as a contender for an Academy award in February for her portrayal of Alzheimer's victim Fiona Anderson in 'Away From Her.'

However, the actress, who won the best actress Oscar for Darling back in 1965, is hoping that the judges will ignore her this time, as she doesn't want to leave her home in Wales for Los Angeles.

"I get deep anxiety about it," the Daily Express quoted her, as saying.

"It's like you have to go to Mars and pretend to be a Martian," she added.
