Pistols plan to record first new tunes in 30 years

The Sex Pistols are planning to record their first new tunes in 30 years after being spurred on by the success of their recent reunion tour.

London, Jan 17 : The Sex Pistols are planning to record their first new tunes in 30 years after being spurred on by the success of their recent reunion tour.

The legendary punks returned to the live scene for a series of gigs last year and the success of the tour convinced them to head back to the recording studio and work on new tracks for the first time in three decades.

Group members John 'Rotten' Lydon, Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and Paul Cook, are hoping to produce some new songs.

"There's talk of new material. The only problem is that it's a bit hard to work on anything as John and Steve are in America and Glen and I are here in the UK, so it's a case of finding the time to get together," the Daily Snack quoted Cook, as saying.

"We might not pull together an album but hopefully there will be some new stuff in time for the summer.

"It's great getting back on stage. The feedback has been positive. I'm looking forward to playing some festivals this year," he added.
