Melbourne, Jan 17 : Andrew Morton's new biography on Tom Cruise claims that his ex-wife Nicole Kidman has been "reduced" to seeing their kids Isabel and Connor only via webcam.
The tome also claims that the only Kidman is in touch with her two kids, is via email.
According to Morton's book, Cruise "effectively" has custody to "bring up both youngsters in his faith", reports news.com,au.
The author also claims that Kidman was convinced her house had been bugged by an investigator hired by Cruise to "look into her private affairs".
The tome also says that Cruise did not tell Kidman face-to-face that he was divorcing her, but left the job to his lawyer. It also states that following the split, the actress thought about entering an Australian nunnery that admitted women who had been married.
Morton also claims that Kidman saw Scientology as "the third wheel in her marriage", and that she had even consulted a former high-ranking Scientologist to find out if there was a way she could remove Isabel and Connor from the religion.
Cruise's legal team has already branded the tome 'nutty' and full of 'tired old lies'.
The actor has also instructed his legal eagles to slap a whopping 50million pounds lawsuit on the publishers St Martin's Press when the tome goes on sale in the US on January 15.
The threat of a hefty lawsuit also has several bookstores and publishers in Australia shying away from the tome.
