London, Jan 14 : Britney Spears made news once again by singing her own songs to herself in an empty bar.
According to staff reports from Rosarito Beach Hotel in Mexico, the 26-year-old was apparently on "high" while she was staying at the hotel with new beau Adnan Ghalib.
According to reception manager Gustavo Lopez, one of the waitresses noticed Spears singing her song 'Toxic', in the empty bar.
"One of our waitresses spotted Britney singing to herself in the bar. She heard her mumbling the words to Toxic in a very low voice. It was a strange thing to do and my waitress said she looked out of it. The hotel is virtually deserted at this time of year and Britney was all alone in the bar singing to herself," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
He also said that the singer was spotted by a barman and seemed to be under the influence of drugs.
"I don't think she knew where she was. My barman said she looked like she was on drugs and was slurring her words. When I first saw her check in, she looked like she was drunk," he added.
Britney was also accused of trashing her room at the hotel, where she stayed just for seven hours.
"The maid told me she'd never seen anything like it. There was rubbish everywhere - it looked like a bomb hit it," said Manager Gustavo.
The troubled star was later seen back in Los Angeles, while buying her snapper beau, a new car. She was wearing her wedding dress to ex-hubby Kevin Federline.
It is being speculated that Spears, who has started talking in a strange British accent, is keen to marry Ghalib after a two-week romance as she thinks that marriage will make her case strong in winning back her children in an ongoing custody battle with K-Fed.
