Mel C says goodbye to her famous tattoos

Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm is all set to get rid of all ten of her tattoos, in a bid to stave off bad memories.

London, Jan 13 : Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm is all set to get rid of all ten of her tattoos, in a bid to stave off bad memories.

The 34-year-old singer will spend up to 10,000 pounds on laser treatment - because the ink art holds bad memories of her battles with anorexia and depression.

She will begin the process of removal after the Spice Girls reunion tour in a series of treatments that could take up to two years, and carries a risk scarring.

"Mel is determined to have her tattoos removed as soon as the tour is over because they remind her of all her unhappy times," News of the World quoted an insider, as saying.

"It's going to be a massive job and very painful but she thinks it's worth it.

"Having to parade around the stage every night in tiny costumes has encouraged her to make the decision," the insider added.

In 2007, Mel admitted that she regretted her body art.

"They look nice when you're toned and tanned but when I put on weight they looked awful," she said.
