Washington, Jan 12 : Former reality star, Nicole Richie and her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden have become the proud parents of a baby girl, the couple's rep at Handprint Entertainment has confirmed.
Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and weighed six pounds, seven ounces at birth.
"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents," People quoted the rep, as saying.
Nicole's dad, Lionel Richie, and her half-sister, Sophia, were spotted waiting for the good news with Lionel's wife, Brenda and two others, who arrived earlier at the hospital.
Richie and Madden, who have been dating for more than a year now, confirmed the that they are expecting a baby, during an August interview with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America.
"I would really want to be someone my child would look up to," said Richie, on the show.
The 28-year-old Good Charlotte frontman said in November that he was looking forward to being a dad.
"Having a baby is the most exciting thing that's ever happened to me, and to us," he said.
The new parents have not yet tied the knot. However, in September Madden hinted that they would marry sooner or later.
"Marriage is in our future. Right now our priority is our family and is the baby. That's all we've been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy," he said at the time.
