Ginger Spice provides evidence against her daughters abusive nanny

Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has provided evidence against the nanny who is accused of hurting her daughter.

New York, Jan 10 : Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has provided evidence against the nanny who is accused of hurting her daughter.

The singer explained the day in August 2006 when she found that her daughter, Bluebell Madonna's nanny Jasmine Schmidt was abusing her.

Ginger Spice was away for a countryside weekend and one day while sleeping she heard her daughter, who was just two months old at that time, crying 'hysterically.'

She woke up and ran into the nursery to find out the reason but was blocked by her daughter's nanny.

"[Bluebell] was quite hysterical, crying, really angry crying," the New York Post quoted Halliwell, as telling the court.

"[Schmidt] put her hands across the doorway almost blocking me going in. She was quite big and I stopped. Then she said, 'Leave it, I will swaddle her.'"

"I felt she was trying to take care of me because I would get a good night's sleep so I said OK and left it there," she said.

"Just in the last few days I heard that... It was really... just hyperventilating crying."

Next morning, Geri found red marks on Bluebell's head, cheek and a bruise on her arms.

She said that it was really scary to confront the 31-year-old nanny and explained how badly the German-born nurse injured her daughter.

"I called my doctor, but then something inside me felt funny towards Jasmine because of her remarks. I went to my bedroom and closed the door because I felt quite frightened of her. I was scared of her as we were in the middle of nowhere," she said.

After the incident, the trip was cut short and Geri warned Schmidt to stay away from her daughter.
