Britneys ex-bodyguard blames drugs for her breakdown

Pop diva Britney Spears former bodyguard, Tony Baretto, considers her alleged use of narcotics to be the cause of her recent breakdown.

Washington, January 10 : Pop diva Britney Spears' former bodyguard, Tony Baretto, considers her alleged use of narcotics to be the cause of her recent breakdown.

The 'Toxic' hitmaker was admitted to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday to undergo a mental evaluation.

Even a day before, Britney hit the headlines as she had a three-hour argument at her Beverly Hills home, when she refused to give her two sons - Sean Preston and Jayden James - back to her former husband Kevin Federline.

Baretto believes that the singer's alleged drug addiction is responsible for her current state of mind.

"There's something that needs to be fixed with Britney. No bodyguard can't do it. An assistant can't do it. And Britney, obviously, can't do it alone. The times that I've seen her use narcotics, maybe made her (mental) condition worsen. I think definitely she's got some kind of mental problem," Contactmusic quoted him as telling U.S. news show Extra.

"Her parents can't control her. The judge can't control her. Nobody can control her. She does what she wants. There's nobody that can tell her what to do," he added.
