Keira Knightley reveals her red carpet pretence

British actress Keira Knightley has revealed that she lives another life on the red carpet to deal with the immense attention she gets.

Washington, Feb 09 : British actress Keira Knightley has revealed that she lives another life on the red carpet to deal with the immense attention she gets.

The Atonement star says that the only way she can handle the horde of photographers at the red carpet is by pretending to be someone else.

Knightley takes on the alias of a former iconic beauty to cope with all the attention she gets, which according to her, helps her get through the promos.

Keira admitted that she once imagined herself to be voluptuous screen siren Sophia Loren at the Venice Film Festival in Italy.

"When I get out of the car I pretend to be someone else. It's a different person every time," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

"At the Oscars, I was an elegant Edwardian society woman from a painting by John Singer Sargent. For the Venice Film Festival, I was Sophia Loren.

"For the premiere of Atonement, I was someone else again, but I won't say who, as it's embarrassing. It's my way of getting through it," she added.
