Washington, Feb 9 : George Clooney has tipped Daniel Day-Lewis to win with the Best Actor Oscar later this month.
The pair face competition from Viggo Mortensen, Tommy Lee Jones and Johnny Depp in the category, but Clooney is already convinced that Day-Lewis is the winner.
"If you want my honest opinion, I think it's going to be Daniel Day-Lewis," Contactmusic quoted Clooney, as saying.
He then joked: "He sort of irritates all of us because he's so good... I'll tell you right now, I don't like him!"
Clooney is nominated for his role in Michael Clayton, while Day-Lewis impressed the Academy with his portrayal of a Texan oil prospector in There Will Be Blood.
The ceremony is due to take place on February 24th.
