Helena Bonham-Carter bagged the best actress title at the Evening Standard British Film Awards.

London, Feb 4 : Helena Bonham-Carter bagged the best actress title at the Evening Standard British Film Awards.

The 41-year-old actress won the award for her performance in 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street' as well as for the low-key drama 'Conversations With Other Women.'

The best actor gong went to Daniel Day-Lewis for his role as a Texan oil prospector in 'There Will Be Blood.'

Julie Christie, who is also up for an Academy Award for 'Away From Her,' won the Alexander Walker Special Award for outstanding contribution to film, reports the Daily Snack.

Joy Division biopic 'Control' took the best film as well as best screenplay award.

'Atonement' received the award for technical achievement in cinematography, production and costume design.

Radiohead guitarist Johnny Greenwood took the best film score award for his work on 'There Will Be Blood.'

The awards ceremony took place at The Ivy restaurant in central London.
