Madonna has asked pal Justin Timberlake to induct her into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

London, Feb 27 : Madonna has asked pal Justin Timberlake to induct her into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Each inductee is asked to invite a fellow celebrity or a family member to the New York gala to pay tribute to their work, and Madge has opted for the 'Sexy Back' singer.

Timberlake and Madge got to know each other after he worked on the music icon's upcoming album, expected to be released this year, reports the Daily Snack.

The event takes place at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan on March 10.

Other inductees include Leonard Cohen, John Mellencamp, Sixties British pop band The Dave Clark Five, The Ventures and Little Walter.

Tom Hanks will be inducting The Dave Clark Five, who gave the hit 'Glad All Over', and Lou Reed will be inducting Leonard Cohen.

Ben Harper is to induct Little Walter, who produced 14 Top 10 hits on the R 'n' B charts before his death in 1968 at 37.

The Ventures will be inducted by John Fogerty while singer-songwriter Jerry Butler will induct Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, founders of the Philadelphia International record label that collaborated with may big name R 'n' B artists.
