Delta Goodrem dumped by US record label

It seems that Delta Goodrem may not realise her dream of making it big in the US music industry for now, as the singer has been dumped by her US label.

Melbourne, Feb 24 : It seems that Delta Goodrem may not realise her dream of making it big in the US music industry for now, as the singer has been dumped by her US label.

However, the Aussie pop sensation is as optimistic as she could be, and hopes to cut an album in America soon.

The singer is still signed to SonyBMG in Australia, after the US arm of the mega music company dropped her.

And it was her Australian record label and publicist who confirmed that she had lost her US deal with SonyBMG.

However, the 23-year-old star's spokeswoman said that she was in talks with other American labels. In fact, sources have revealed that Goodrem is likely to sign with the Universal Music Group.

"There are plans for a release of the Delta album in the US ..." News.com.au quoted her spokeswoman, as saying.

However, Delta is determined to continue fighting for making her American dream a reality.

"I strongly believe I'll have a career there one day. I certainly haven't admitted defeat. I feel I haven't even started the battle. I'm completely new over there ... it doesn't matter that I've sold records anywhere else," she said.

"You have to be a new artist, take the good with the bad, build strong bonds with the people you're working with," she added.
