Maccas snapper pal accused of sexually abusing young girls

Celebrity photographer and one of Sir Paul McCartneys close pals, Paul Caffell, has been charged for taking indecent pictures of young child models, according to a court hearing on 19th Feb.

London, Feb 20 : Celebrity photographer and one of Sir Paul McCartney's close pals, Paul Caffell, has been charged for taking indecent pictures of young child models, according to a court hearing on 19th Feb.

The 68-year-old was said to own almost 1,100 black and white photos of two schoolgirls he had befriended.

Caffell is a famous figure in the art world, who allegedly invited the girls to his garden shed studio for photo sessions.

Prosecutor Peter Blair told Gloucester crown court that he paid 20 pounds to a 15-year-old girl to pose naked, before blindfolding and having sex with her.

However, after 4 years, the girl finally opened her mouth about the issue and told friends and eventually police were called.

Meanwhile, Caffell has denied 11 charges of taking indecent pictures, three of possession and four of indecent assault.

The trial is still continuing.

Caffell, of Stroud, is all set to lead an exhibition of pictures featuring the late Linda McCartney next month.
