Lily Allen has been dumped by her boyfriend, Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons, less than 2 weeks after suffering a miscarriage.

London, Feb 02 : Lily Allen has been dumped by her boyfriend, Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons, less than 2 weeks after suffering a miscarriage.

The devastated 'LDN' star, who had been ready to settle down, now has to cope with being unexpectedly single along with mourning for her unborn child.

According to reports, Allen has been left heartbroken, as even after a 6,000-dollar-per-night holiday in the Maldives, the two musicians could not make their relationship work.

Following a number of unyielding arguments, Ed, 37, told the singer their romance was over.

"They tried to make things work but couldn't. The miscarriage was a horrible experience for both of them - and in recent weeks the mood between them had been really strained," The Sun quoted a pal, as saying.

"Lily is really upset things haven't worked out for her and Ed. She had talked about settling down for good and having a family.

"But there is a big age difference and the heartbreak they had to cope with was too much too early in their relationship," the friend added.Lily's spokesman refused to comment on the split.
